Critical reflection produced as part of my research fellowship at Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo, the Art Academy. Supervisors were Stian Grøgaard, Per Bjarne Boym and Ute Meta Bauer.
ABSTRACT
Ex-centric consists of a series of environment specific interventions produced between 2007 and 2011 produced under the umbrella of the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme. The goal of the project is to study, discuss and develop my artistic method. All works are based on the notions of gift economy used as artistic strategy and structure, and participation as research and method. The goal of each intervention is the activation of what I have called ‘blind zones’ in the context, and the realisation of concrete alternatives to existing hierarchies and conventions.
